Cupping

Cupping (Eastern and Western)

In cupping, a flame is used to take the oxygen out of a glass cup to create a vacuum or suction effect when it is applied to the body.  Cups are applied to areas where there is local pain or appears to be stasis. When the blood and lymph circulation is sluggish, waste by-products start to build up, causing stagnation in the system.  Cupping moves vital energy to areas of pain and draws blood stagnation out.  Round marks are sometimes left after cupping, and these usually disappear after 3-7 days.  Cupping is good for tired aching muscles, common colds, sacroiliac pain, general back pain, digestive problems, cellulite, scar tissues, muscular-skeletal conditions and menstrual problems.  Cups are fantastic for detoxifying, tightening and toning tissue.
